Collection: The Dancing Collection

The dance floor is a microcosm of the wider world of human interaction. It's where people play, flirt, show off, test or pursue each other or just simply enjoy themselves moving with the music. Whilst the dance floor is simply an aspect of a largely superficial, wider social event, it can also be a place where potentially life changing scenarios occur. Where people can be truly hurt, or even fall in love.

The pictures in this collection try to capture not only the flowing and rhythmic movements of people dancing, but also their interactions, feelings and the small dramas that can sometimes play out in this most dynamic of contexts.

I actually worked on these pictures, off and on, from September 2022 to early 2025 and it's one of my favourite collections. I hope you like them too. There's no need for explanatory notes as the individual titles say it all.
