I've spent many a night alone in a bar somewhere, from Los Angeles to Colombo and Helsinki to Cape Town. I enjoy it. Time to ponder, or to engage in conversation with strangers if the mood takes me. This picture derives from a photograph of an unusual bar in Paphos, Cyprus. Its actually overlooking a live music venue and the bright shaft of light is the sunlight pouring in through a slot in the concrete wall to the left, reflected on the concrete floor. The photograph has, as usual, been heavily modified, including turning the sitting drinker to face the viewer rather than being side on. His featureless face says something about the solitary drinker, sat there alone, lost in thought on a hot afternoon.

FAQ

Materials and printing.
Your picture will be printed to order on a museum quality (archival) 344gsm (grams per sq metre) polyester/cotton blend with a matte/satin finish. It's scratch, crack, & warp resistant.
It will be printed using the giclee process, with water based, latex inks and the whole picture will then treated with a coating that protects the colours from UV light
The frames are 17mm deep and are hand made from solid oak, including the black or white versions.

Hanging
All canvases come with sawtooth hangers, ready to hang on your wall.

Shipping and returns.
I ask that you allow ten days for the production of your picture and for delivery to you. Usually, the process is a little faster than this.
Please see the 'Info' page for more on shipping and returns (new tab).
Basically, if goods arrive faulty or damaged in transit, they will be replaced free of charge upon you presenting good photographic evidence.
If you change your mind about the picture, you have 14 days in which to return it, in original packaging, by courier, to me here in Cyprus.

Colour accuracy.
Computer screens differ from each other in how they display different colours. And the way colours are reproduced on canvas or paper is different again from how it is displayed on a screen. The printing process is calibrated to account for this factors but there might be slight differences from the way a given colour appears on screen .
